Chris Lykes has never been the tallest player on the court, but he’s always played with the biggest heart. Born and raised in Mitchellville, Maryland, Chris quickly gained recognition as a dynamic point guard with an unrelenting drive to win. From a young age, he knew that size would never be his advantage, so he made sure his skill, speed, and determination would set him apart.

A Standout High School Career

Chris attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., where he became one of the most electrifying high school players in the country. His unmatched quickness, elite ball-handling, and ability to score against any defender made him a nightmare matchup. During his time at Gonzaga, Chris led his team to multiple championships, earned Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) Player of the Year honors, and became a Top-100 recruit in the nation.

Making an Impact at the College Level

Despite being overlooked by some due to his height, Chris earned a scholarship to play at the University of Miami, where he became the smallest player in program history to start at point guard. In just his sophomore season, he led the Hurricanes in scoring, proving that he could compete with—and dominate—bigger, stronger opponents. His fearless approach, deadly shooting, and lightning-fast first step made him one of the most exciting players in the ACC.

Chris capped off his college career at the University of Arkansas, where he played a key role in helping the Razorbacks make a deep NCAA tournament run. His leadership, experience, and ability to take over games in clutch moments made him an asset to every team he played for.

The Next Chapter: Professional Career & Giving Back

After college, Chris transitioned into the professional ranks, taking his talents to the next level. But beyond his own journey as an athlete, he realized the power of inspiring and mentoring the next generation.
